DIPL.-ING. KLAUS SERFASS (GRADUATE ENGINEER)
Over the course of his 43-year career, Klaus Serfass developed particular plants for waste water treatment and swarf treatment systems and brought them to market.
Since 2007, he had played a significant role in the research project of the DBU (German Federal Environmental Foundation) about HTC technology and successfully completed the project.
In 2011, he co-founded the German Federal Association "Hydrothermale Carbonisierung e.V." and was its chairman for 6 years. Today he has the role of vice-chairman and is still active in leading the association.
Klaus Serfass founded the company KS-VTCtech GmbH in 2017 in order to handle carbonization projects both in Germany and worldwide.

After his Environmental Engineering studies, Timo Garrels worked for a large German disposal company as a project engineer and project manager in the field of mechanical-biological treatment systems, sorting and composting plants. He was responsible for ventilation technology and exhaust air purification.
In 2011, he started a new position in an engineering office and was particularly responsible for renewable energy generated from biomass, for the process heating supply and the permit management.

The technology of ALENGO is used to press pellet fuels from any kind of domestic and industrial waste or dried sewage sludge.
Pollutants contained in this waste such as heavy metals, toxins, etc. are embedded in the pellets via a specially developed process in such a way that they are only released again at temperatures above 4,000 °C.
